Dollar Community Council
The role of the council is to provide a link between the community and the elected members and officers of Clackmannanshire Council and all statutory bodies, (e.g., Forth Valley Health Board, Central Scotland Police, the public utilities and such), and as far as it is able, to provide impartial help and assistance to the community in general, to promote community spirit and to keep the community informed of matters of public concern.

It is also a statutory consultee on all planning matters pertinent to the boundaries of the community council, and the local authority is required to notify it of all planning applications which affect it.

The Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973,  defines one other very important aspect of the role of a community council -

“...to take such action in the interests of the community as appears to it to be expedient and practicable”.

The council meets on the 3rd Monday of the month in the Dollar Civic Centre.  Meetings start at 7.30pm and all members of the community are invited to attend.

No records returned.
